Ric Flair issues an apology to WWE Hall of Famer following his recent comments
Ric Flair recently sent a message on social media in which he apologized to a few WCW veterans after criticizing them a few days ago. The Nature Boy has accepted that his statements about Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, and Jim Herd being responsible for World Championship Wrestling's demise were not in good faith.
A recent documentary produced by The Rock called Who Killed WCW? became a major point of discussion in the pro wrestling world. The most notable absence from the series was that of Ric Flair, as he had been with the now-defunct promotion for years.
Flair recently made his thoughts known on X/Twitter, where he blamed Bischoff, Russo, and Jim Herd, for WCW going out of business. However, The Nature Boy has now taken a step back and issued a statement intending to withdraw his earlier comments.
Flair even wished he had shared a better equation with the aforementioned names.
"A Very Important Person In My Life Reminded Me Yesterday That Twitter Is The Weakest Form Of Communication. I Want To Take This Opportunity To Apologize To Jim Herd, @EBischoff, And @THEVinceRusso "Because I Really Don’t Know. I Unfairly Judged You Without Knowing The Inner Workings And Behind The Scenes Of The Business On The Corporate End With People You Had To Report To And Work With. I Wish On A Personal Note That All Three Of Us Could Have Worked Together And Had Better Relationships!"
Flair further thanked Russo for helping his son pursue a career in pro wrestling:
"For Vince Calling Me The GOAT, I Appreciate That & You Did Help My Son To Pursue His Dream In Wrestling. I Am Going To Do Eric Bischoff’s Podcast, But It Won’t Be To Bury Anybody. It’s To Discuss Our Differences! @TheRock Is Making A Movie On My Life, And I’m In A Great Place! I Hope This Can All Be Put Behind Us!"
Vince Russo quickly responded to Ric Flair
Soon after Flair shared the tweet, Vince Russo, who had taken offense to The Nature Boy's previous comments, responded to his latest post. Russo seemingly accepted Ric Flair's apology and made it clear he had no "animosity" with him.
"Life is way too short to hold any Grievances, Ric. Honestly, at this point, I don't have any animosity towards anybody and I am at Total Peace. I appreciate your words this morning more than you will ever know. God Bless You, Sir," wrote Vince Russo.
It now remains to be seen whether Eric Bischoff and Jim Herd will also respond to Ric Flair's apology and reconcile their relationships.
