Ric Flair names two AEW stars as his favorite wrestlers after Charlotte Flair
Ric Flair has named two AEW stars as his favorite wrestlers after Charlotte Flair. This revelation is sure to shock fans.
The two stars in question are none other than Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, collectively known as The Young Bucks. The duo has been running riot in AEW as they have fully embraced being heels for a long time at this point.
They had their run-ins with Ric Flair, especially during their feud with Sting and Darby Allin. However, that has not stopped The Nature Boy from revealing that Matthew and Nicholas Jackson are on his list of favorite wrestlers. He was speaking to SB Nation when he said:
"Well number one would be my daughter [Charlotte Flair], of course. But Randy [Orton], AJ [Styles]. I mean I like a lot of guys, like MJF. It’s hard to pick out four or five guys, but I mean we got great, great talent in both companies. You know, it’s hard to say who’s the best but I have some favorites. The Young Bucks are just absolutely sensational. What a phenomenal match they gave Sting and Darby [Allin]. (Laughing) Darby is too much, man. Orange Cassidy is one of my favorites. I mean, all those guys are great, wonderful people.” [H/T SB Nation]
What the future has in store for The Nature Boy remains to be seen.
Ric Flair revealed that he can appear on WWE shows
In the same interview, Ric Flair revealed how he was still allowed to go on WWE shows if required. He said that the reason for that was because Tony Khan did not care about it.
"Oh, it’s been great. I mean, it doesn’t change. They’re all very respectful of me, to the point where it’s flattering. You know, I try to stay relevant and involved in so many different things now, which is unusual for someone my age. I mean, even though I work for AEW, I can go to a WWE show and no one says anything. I’m not gonna not see my daughter [Charlotte Flair] when she’s back and healthy. I’m going to go and see her, and Tony [AEW owner Tony Khan] doesn’t care. That’s the kind of guy Tony is and what AEW is," Ric Flair said. [H/T SB Nation]
It will be great to see The Nature Boy back in WWE sometime. Given that he has revealed how Tony Khan is not opposed to it, fans should not be surprised if it does come to fruition.
