Ricky Starks addresses potential move to WWE amid uncertain AEW future

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks opened up on his potential move to the WWE amid his absence from his current promotion. He has been rumored to jump ship for months now.

Ricky Starks has not been on AEW TV for over eight months, and there have been no hints of his return. The 34-year-old star last appeared on Collision in March, teaming with Big Bill to take on Top Flight in a losing effort. Starks has been rumored to join the WWE, and his current All Elite contract status is uncertain.

Meanwhile, Starks finally addressed a potential move to the WWE after all the rumors. During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet on Insights, Starks was asked about a move to the Stamford-based promotion, and he answered that he could end up anywhere where he could see his friends regularly:

“I could end up anywhere actually. It’s not crazy. I understand it, and definitely get it. Like, you know, you just go where your friends are. Yes, I love my friends. I would like to always see them every day in my life, whether they come to me or whatever the case may be. That’s just how it is in life. You have people that you are cool with, and you’re always gonna have people say, like, well, you’re gonna do that because of this person. It’s like, Well, damn, yeah, I can’t act on my own accord.” (H/T Chrisvanvliet.com)

Ricky Starks recently aired his frustrations outside AEW

Amid his absence from AEW, Ricky Starks recently competed at the Glory Pro event. Meanwhile, Starks surprisingly showed up at the recent GCW event as well. In his promo at the event, Ricky seemingly aired his frustrations stating that he is healthy and he'll be damned if he has to sit at home all the time.

Moreover, only time will tell if Starks signs with WWE after his contract with Tony Khan's promotion expires.
