Ricky Starks 'likes' an interesting message hinting at a potential move to WWE
Ricky Starks subtly hinted at joining WWE recently on social media. He is rumored to join World Wrestling Entertainment in the near future.
The Absolute Star has been absent from AEW TV since March. The wrestling world is still wondering about his unexplained absence from AEW weekly television shows and PPVs.
WrestleVotes recently had an Exclusive Live Q&A with Joe Lowry where he revealed that WWE is interested in signing Ricky Starks upon his AEW contract expiry. Fans were already assuming that he would end up in the Stamford-based promotion, now the rumors are somewhat confirmed. The only question is when?
That said, amidst all this uncertainty, the 34-year-old star liked an interesting comment under his recent Instagram post where a fan asked him when he was moving to WWE. This could be a subtle hint that he has plans to jump ship to the Stamford-based promotion.
Check out Starks' recent post below.
Ricky Starks is not happy with his situation in AEW
The last time Ricky was seen on AEW TV was on an episode of Collision in March, where he wrestled alongside his former tag team partner Big Bill. They took on Top Flight (Dante Martin & Darius Martin) in the AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament Quarter Final. He hasn't been on TV since.
Sources have revealed that the Louisiana native was never injured and has always been cleared to wrestle but Tony Khan has been keeping him on the shelf. It was also reported that the star is not happy with how the Jacksonville-based company is treating him.
Ricky Starks is still under an AEW contract, and he'll remain so for some time even though the company is not using him on TV. AEW usually grants release to stars who are frustrated with their role in the company, but Starks' situation is a bit complicated, as reported.
