Ricky Starks possibly responds to rumors about him rejecting pitches in AEW

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Ricky Starks has seemingly responded to rumors suggesting he has rejected creative pitches. He replied to a fan on social media.

Ricky Starks has not been on TV for over five months now for undisclosed reasons. He last appeared on the March 30, 2024, episode of Collision, where he teamed up with Big Bill against Top Flight in the AEW World Tag Team Title Tournament. Bill and Starks lost in the quarterfinals against Top Flight.

Amid his in-ring absence, Ricky Starks has been quite active on social media, but fans have been anticipating his TV return for months. It was recently reported that All Elite Wrestling has not been using Starks because he rejected a creative pitch that involved his face turn. Moreover, The Absolute is rumored to be WWE-bound.

Starks seemingly broke his silence on reports of him rejecting creative pitches made by AEW. A fan on X/Twitter posted that he wanted to see the 34-year-old on TV regardless of the rumors being spread about him.

The Absolute noticed the fan's post and responded to it with the following message:

"Glad you know they’re bs rumors [emojis]," Starks wrote.

Ricky Starks is reportedly headed to WWE

As mentioned earlier, Starks has been rumored to join WWE for months. Amid his absence from AEW TV, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Starks was very much expected to sign with the Stamford-based promotion as soon as his deal with the Tony Khan-led company was up.

It is unclear when Starks' contract with AEW will expire. Only time will tell what the future has in store for The Absolute.
