Ricky Starks sends out an interesting message ahead of massive appearance outside AEW
Ricky Starks is set to compete in the ring once again outside of AEW. The former AEW World Tag Team Champion recently shared an interesting social media post ahead of the bout next month.
The Absolute has not wrestled inside an AEW ring since failing to advance in this year's World Tag Team Title Tournament, alongside his then-partner Big Bill, in March, 2024. Since then, Starks has only competed in one match - incidentally against All Elite personality QT Marshall at a Big Time Wrestling event in May.
The former FTW Champion surprised his followers by his unexpected appearance at a Glory Pro Wrestling show last month, which led to a match between Ricky Starks and his long-time rival Kody Lane being set up for the promotion's November 24 event WrestlePocalypse 2024.
Ahead of said upcoming Glory Pro Wrestling show, and still seemingly in the midst of a lengthy hiatus from AEW programming, the Louisiana native took to X/Twitter recently, sharing a poster for WrestlePocalypse featuring himself, fellow All Elite star Danhausen and a number of other talent with an interesting caption.
"The gravy train keeps moving! Let's go! [smiling emoji][two-way arrow emoji]," tweeted Starks.

AEW's Ricky Starks penned a heartwarming note about his wrestling career
Ricky Starks is highly regarded by viewers of All Elite Wrestling because of his captivating character work and his capabilities in the squared circle. Amidst his continued absence from the Tony Khan-led promotion's ongoing programming, the 34-year-old star took to X/Twitter last month to reflect on thirteen years having passed since he had his first wrestling match.
"Missed the day last week but it’s been 13 years since I had my first match on October 9th I believe. Couldn’t have dreamed that I’d be where I am at today but I’m extremely thankful for every match, every person that has supported me. Here’s to keep leveling up!" he wrote.
It remains to be seen whether and when Starks may return to All Elite television.
