Ricky Starks shares an interesting message amid his lengthy hiatus in AEW

AEW's Ricky Starks recently took to social media to share an interesting message, possibly about his in-ring future. The star has been on a lengthy hiatus amidst ongoing conjecture about his status in the promotion.

The Absolute has been missing from All Elite Wrestling programming since he and tag partner Big Bill were defeated by Top Flight earlier this year in the quarterfinals of the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament. Speculations regarding Starks' future in the Tony Khan-led company continue to abound amid reported interest in him from rival promotion, WWE.

The former FTW Champion recently reposted a previously shared photograph of himself on X/Twitter. The post's caption, while somewhat ambiguous, could potentially hint at Starks' in-ring comeback, judging from his declaration that he was ready for action.

"Hard work and nothing less. Ready to wrestle because that's what I was meant to do That and be #Absolute," wrote Starks.

Notably, despite not being featured on All Elite television since March, Starks did wrestle AEW VP of Show and Creative Coordination QT Marshall at an independent show in May.

Matt Morgan believes AEW's Ricky Starks will head over to WWE

A large section of All Elite Wrestling viewers consider Ricky Starks to be one of the promotion's most underutilized assets at this time, in light of his recent programming hiatus. Despite his formidable skills as a wrestler and on the mic, Starks has not appeared on television in months, glowing praise from Tony Khan notwithstanding.

Rumors suggest that Ricky could potentially be WWE-bound after his All Elite Wrestling contract expires. On a recent edition of Gigantic Pop, wrestling veteran Matt Morgan was asked about his thoughts on Starks' status in AEW.

The Blueprint seemed confident that Stroke Daddy would jump ship to the promotion under Triple H's creative direction.

"I do think Ricky [Starks] will end up in WWE, I honestly do," said Morgan.

Given the recent report claiming that the Jacksonville-based company may not be granting him a release, it remains to be seen what the future holds for Ricky Starks and whether it is a matter of time before he joins his former All Elite colleagues Cody Rhodes, Ethan Page, Shawn Spear, CM Punk and Jade Cargill in WWE.
