Ricky Starks shows off new look amid uncertain AEW future
Ricky Starks has been absent from AEW TV for almost seven months now. Amidst his absence from AEW programming, he recently showed off his new look.
The last match Starks worked in All Elite Wrestling was on the March 30, edition of Collision where he and his former tag team partner Big Bill suffered a loss to Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin). Since then he has been a no-show in the promotion. He isn't injured and nobody knows why he's being kept off TV.
That said, a few hours ago, Ricky Starks logged into his Instagram account to share a picture of himself in a new look on his story section. He was wearing a wig in the photo. Check out a screenshot of his IG story below.
The Absolute has been a part of AEW since 2020. He made his debut on the June 17, 2020, edition of Dynamite and answered Cody Rhodes' open challenge for the AEW TNT Championship but couldn't beat the champion. He is a former FTW Champion and former AEW World Tag Team Champion.
Ricky Starks shares vague response on whereabouts amid WWE signing rumors
Ricky Starks recently appeared on a Highspots Sign It Live virtual signing where he commented on his absence. He revealed that he was healthy, but that his in-ring future wasn't up to him alone.
"I wish I could give an answer [about my whereabouts]. I'm healthy. I'm ready to get back in the ring. I am in shape, obviously. I've always been in shape. Sometimes it just isn't up to me, I guess, as they say. So I love wrestling, and I'm going to figure out a way to do it one way or another," he said.
He confessed that he owed the fans some explanation about his absence, but unfortunately, he didn't have any concrete answer to offer them.
