Ricky Starks spotted in a surprising location amid hiatus; AEW personality says she misses him

Former AEW World Tag Team Champion, Ricky Starks, shared his snap from a location outside the U.S. amid his hiatus from Tony Khan's promotion. A company personality commented on the post saying she misses Starks.

The AEW personality in question is Amanda Huber. Amanda is an employee in the Jacksonville-based promotion and is also the wife of late, Brodie Lee. Ricky Starks has been with AEW since 2020 and is considered one of the rising homegrown stars in the company. However, he has not been on TV for the past four months now.

Starks last wrestled alongside Big Bill against Top Flight in the tag team title tournament on an episode of Collision, where Starks and Big Bill lost. Amid his absence from the promotion, Starks seems to be enjoying his time out of action as he took to his Instagram handle recently to share his snap from Spain with the following caption:

"Just a lil something lite. Then lost my glasses in the Uber. AdiĆ³s #absolute"

Tony Khan on Ricky Starks' AEW absence

Fans have been anticipating the return of Starks on AEW TV ever since he has been out. Speaking on SHAK Wrestling recently, the company President, Tony Khan was asked about Starks' absence, and answered the following:

"I really, really like Ricky Starks a lot; the last time we saw him here was in the World Tag Team Championship Tournament. He and Big Bill formed a great team, and they were the World Tag Team Champions! I think Ricky Starks is tremendous! I'd love to get him involved and back in AEW anytime. He's been a huge part of what we've done here for about four out of five years, and tons of respect for Rico!"

Meanwhile, there is no update on when The Absolute will be seen on AEW TV again. Only time will tell if he will ever be back on Tony Khan's promotion.
