Ricochet reacts after former WWE star offers to make AEW debut by becoming his tag team partner
Ricochet debuted at AEW All In 2024 amid immense speculation that began before his WWE departure. While racking up wins on all three of the company's TV shows, the high-flyer is set to compete in his first All Elite tag team bout, but there's a catch. Now a familiar face from his past is offering to make his All Elite Wrestling debut to help out an old colleague.
The Highlight Of The Night is rumored to get a new ally in All Elite Wrestling. Ricochet failed to win AEW gold in his first attempts, similar to how he was unable to overcome a few WWE obstacles, such as RETRIBUTION. All the male members of the stable defeated Ricochet in December 2020 while trying to recruit him, but they were still rejected. The former T-BAR (aka Dijak) now wants to make things right.
Dijak is now a free agent and has teased an AEW debut at times. The 37-year-old took to X (fka Twitter) today with a hilarious pitch for why he should be Ricochet's mystery partner against Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher on Dynamite. The current MLW star just received a nine-word response from The One And Only, but it's probably not the reply he hoped for.
"Haha this is great. I'll give it a think," Ricochet wrote.
Dijak was released by WWE, after his contract was not renewed, at the end of June. This was around the same time Ricochet's contract expired. The ring veterans recently had a viral exchange with another top star after Dijak randomly praised the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.
