Ricochet responds to fan after showing up unannounced for non-AEW event
AEW star Ricochet appeared at a huge event tonight and attacked another star. The wrestler being discussed is Konosuke Takeshita, who won the International Championship at WrestleDream pay-per-view after defeating the 36-year-old and Will Ospreay.
The One and Only had two opportunities to capture the International Championship, but the moment was stolen by Takeshita. When Will Ospreay and Ricochet wrestled during the fifth-anniversary Dynamite show, Takeshita interfered, causing the bout to end in a no contest. At WrestleDream, Don Callis' interference helped Konosuke to emerge victorious.
After being furious due to the recent events, the former United States Champion called out Konosuke Takeshita on a recent episode of Collision and claimed that he would follow the latter wherever he went. The Alpha recently defeated Mike Bailey in the main event of night one of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and TNA's Josh Alexander on night two.
Following the match, Konosuke Takeshita attacked the former TNA World Champion. Ricochet made an appearance in the company and saved Josh from the ambush. Later, a fan claimed that The One and Only had already hinted about appearing in MLPW.
The 36-year-old then responded with a two-word message to the fan.
"Told em!" he wrote.
Ricochet defeated AR Fox on Collision
After wrestling blockbuster matches on the AEW's flagship show Dynamite, Highlight of the Night debuted at Collision. So far, he has faced Sammy Guevara, Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Beast Mortos. He has also wrestled Konosuke Takeshita and Ospreay at WrestleDream but fell short due to outside interferences.
The star wrestled AR Fox on Collision and picked up a huge victory on his debut on the show. He later claimed that he had never been pinned in AEW.
It will be interesting to see if the former Intercontinental Champion challenges Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship.
