Ricochet's blockbuster AEW arrival teased by former world champion

A former World Champion has teased WWE star Ricochet's potential arrival to AEW. The name in question is none other than Will Ospreay.

The high-flying former Intercontinental Champion is reportedly set to exit the WWE in July. This week's Monday Night RAW marked Ricochet's last appearance with the company until a final decision regarding the latter's contract is made. Many wrestlers, including Ricochet's former rival Will Ospreay, have expressed the desire to once again wrestle The One and Only after the recent contract expiration news surfaced.

On X (formerly Twitter), a fan posted a video from Will Ospreay's Instagram where The Aerial Assassin seemingly hinted at the arrival of Ricochet in All Elite Wrestling.

"Will Ospreay on his IG just teased for RICOCHET. He's 1000% coming in. Buckle up"

Bully Ray shares his thoughts on Ricochet potentially joining AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has also jumped into the discussion of Ricochet's future amidst contract expiration. The former United States Champion was seemingly written off the television at this past week's Monday Night RAW after Bron Breakker ambushed him backstage. Breakker slammed Ricochet on the windshield of the car, which led to the high-flyer being stretchered out of the arena.

Speaking on the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray shared important advice for Ricochet if he decides to move to AEW. The former Tag Team Champion claimed that The One and Only will have to turn back into his old self in the Jacksonville-based promotion.

"What Ricochet is going to have to do is he's going to have to become that Ricochet of old all over again. There's not going to be like, you know, in the WWE as many moves and all of the athleticism as Ricochet does, he can pick and choose what he wants to do and when. Because, it's more about the storytelling of the match. In AEW, Ricochet is going to be required to go balls to the wall at all times with the Ricochet style that people on independent wrestling and, you know, AEW style have come to known and love," Bully Ray said.

WWE is allegedly yet to make an offer to Ricochet to potentially make him stay with the promotion. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for The Highlight of the Night in the upcoming months.
