Ricochet's return to non-AEW promotion officially announced

Former WWE Superstar Ricochet is set to return to a promotion outside of AEW as per an official announcement. He made his All Elite Wrestling debut recently at All In 2024.

After spending several years of his wrestling career in WWE, Ricochet made his official AEW debut at the recent All In 2024 event at Wembley Stadium. He showed up during the Casino Gauntlet match. The former Intercontinental Champion had his first All Elite singles match on the following Dynamite.

The 35-year-old star defeated Kyle Fletcher in his first singles match in Tony Khan's promotion on Dynamite a couple of weeks ago. Meanwhile, the former WWE Superstar is all set for his return to Japan. The Japanese Wrestling Promotion, GLEAT, released a promotional video on its official X/Twitter handle.

In the promotional video, Ricochet announced that he will be returning to Japan for a GLEAT event on October 6, 2024, where he will be teaming with his former tag team partner, CIMA.

Moreover, this will be the 35-year-old star's first match in Japan since 2017. He last teamed with CIMA during his time in Dragon Gate.


AEW seemingly planted seeds for Ricochet's first feud in the promotion

Ever since Ricochet made his AEW debut, fans have been clamoring for a match against the current International Champion, Will Ospreay. At the recent All Out pay-per-view, Rico was spotted watching Ospreay's match with PAC. After the match, the two had a seemingly heated backstage confrontation hinting at their upcoming feud as well.

Only time will tell how the story between the former WWE Superstar and Will Ospreay develops going forward and when they face each other in AEW.
