Ricochet seemingly rules out the debut of mysterious character in AEW; reveals reasonĀ
Ricochet has been wrestling for two decades. In his career, he has portrayed several characters in different promotions. He recently commented on the future of one of his mysterious gimmicks.
Before joining WWE in 2018, The Future of Flight wrestled for Lucha Underground. He worked as Prince Puma in the promotion for a few years and won the Lucha Underground Championship two times. The 36-year-old also clinched the Lucha Underground Trios Championship one time.
Ricochet recently had an interview on Insight, where he was asked whether AEW fans could witness the return of Prince Puma. In response, the former Speed Champion said the masked character's fate was not in his hands.
"I feel like you'd have to ask Lucha Underground," he said.
Since leaving WWE and joining AEW, The Human Highlight Reel has received the chance to perform for multiple international companies. He recently showed up in Gleat and NJPW.
Ricochet set to face Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher with a mystery partner
Last Saturday on Collision, Don Callis Family member Kyle Fletcher and AEW International Champion Konosuke Takeshita challenged Ricochet to a tag team match on Dynamite. The Human Highlight Reel was given the chance to choose a partner of his liking for the contest.
A few hours ago, the former Speed Champion took to X/Twitter to respond to the challenge and drop a tease about his mystery partner.
"I saw your little video, I saw your little promo calling me out to a tag team match saying that I can pick anybody of my choosing? Okay, see that's where you messed up because I already have somebody in mind and I don't think you're gonna like it that much," he said.
Given the history surrounding the talents involved in the contest, Will Ospreay may show up as the former WWE star's mystery partner. However, nothing is confirmed.
