Roman Reigns not returning to WWE at SummerSlam amid rumors shouldn’t surprise fans, says former AEW star
A former AEW star believes that Roman Reigns not returning to WWE at SummerSlam amid rumors should not surprise fans. This will definitely disappoint many. The star in question is none other than Mark Henry.
Roman Reigns took time off from television after losing his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL. Following his hiatus, Solo Sikoa took control of The Bloodline. Many fans expect Reigns to return at SummerSlam to confront Sikoa for his actions.
The World’s Strongest Man left AEW at the end of May after his contract expired. He is a regular on The Busted Open Radio and is not afraid to share his opinions with the fans. This time, Henry said that the fans should not be disappointed if Roman Reigns does not show up at SummerSlam on August 3.
“I don't think so. Because I think that sometimes you have to go off the air like the old Batman movies. Same bat time, same bat channel, tune in next week to see what happens. I want suspense. I want to see everybody be entertained. So, with that being said, sometimes you have to get tap danced on even with a win. Give them a tap dance. And they waving at the curtain, somebody come help, there is nobody to help. You not going to be mad at Roman for not showing up. Nobody is expecting Roman. I mean, they would like it but there is nowhere in the laws that says, 'hey Roman might show up.' That is you speculating,” he said.
Solo Siko will take on Cody Rhodes for his WWE Universal Championship at the premium live event. It will be interesting to see if Cody retains his title.
Former WWE employee thinks Roman Reigns will return at SummerSlam
Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci has said that Roman Reigns will return at SummerSlam with The Usos on his side to confront the new Bloodline. Speaking on The Last Word podcast, he said:
"I'm really interested in the Cody match only to the fact that I think that maybe Roman's gonna show his face and how he's gonna do it if it happens. Maybe it won't happen. I'm speculating that it will because Jey doesn't have a match, we haven't seen Jimmy in a while, and I'm speculating that he's gonna bring those two guys back with him."
If and when that happens, it will blow the roof off the place and will potentially lead to a Bloodline Civil War.
