Samantha Irvin responds amid Ricochet's online spats: "No honey, they are allowed to make fun of you"

AEW star Ricochet has been having some heated exchanges with the fans on social media of late. The star's fiance, Samantha Irvin, has now responded to the online backlash.

Ricochet joined AEW at the All In 2024 PPV and ever since his arrival, The One and Only has been pretty vocal about his alleged mistreatment in the Stamford-based promotion. The AEW star has even gone back and forth with the fans on social media who have claimed that the former Intercontinental Champion has turned bitter since joining All Elite Wrestling.

On X (fka Twitter), Samantha Irvin reacted to the backlash towards Ricochet and joked around with a hilarious tweet.

"No honey, they are allowed to make fun of you as much as they want! You have to be silent and say nothing!!! If you say anything, they may think you are angry, hahaha."

Samantha Irvin further said that she and her fiance loved to mess with the wrestling fans:

"We both do, hahahahah."

Ricochet almost came close to quitting WWE before winning the Intercontinental Championship

In an episode of SmackDown in 2022, Ricochet defeated Sami Zayn to capture his first Intercontinental Championship. However, The One and Only recently recalled almost quitting WWE before the title victory.

In a recent conversation on Talk is Jericho, the AEW star revealed that he went to John Laurinaitis and told him that he was quitting but the company put the Intercontinental Championship on him which made him stay.

"I forgot what year I won the Intercontinental Championship. But that year, I had actually went to (John) Laurinaitis and was like, 'Hey guys, I kind of wanna quit.' I said, 'I would go back to the indies and make, you know, a quarter of the money I'm making now, than to come back in here next week.' It was funny because they're, like, 'Intercontinental Championship match,' and then, like, next week, I did win."

The One and Only departed from WWE in July 2024 and moved over to All Elite Wrestling. It will be interesting to see if and when Tony Khan puts a title on the highflyer.
