Sammy Guevara reacts after heartbreaking loss to Ricochet on AEW Dynamite
Sammy Guevara competed against Ricochet this week on AEW Dynamite. He has sent a message following his heartbreaking loss.
Ricochet is already off to the races after joining AEW. He debuted in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In 2024. Following this, he competed in an exciting contest against Kyle Fletcher and even had a face-off with Will Ospreay. It seems as if the company is building towards a match between the two popular high flyers.
This week on Dynamite, the former WWE star competed in another exciting contest against Sammy Guevara. The two gave their best, but it was The One and Only who ultimately came out on top.
Guevara has now taken to X/Twitter to express gratitude over being able to compete against the former WWE star. He even congratulated The Human Highlight Reel on winning the high-octane bout.
"Waking up today feeling grateful, what a cool life I get to live. last night I got to step in there with one of the best & had a killer match. I gave it my all but in the end It wasn’t my night BUT it doesn’t mean tomorrow won’t be. So we continue going forward on this journey. Congratulations to @KingRicochet on the win, I’ll see you again down the line. #AEWDynamite #FlipForever."

The Spanish God's loss was heartbreaking because it was his first match on Dynamite since January 2024. He recently returned to in-ring action after a lengthy suspension and would have liked to have defeated the former United States Champion.
Ricochet clarifies whether he's jealous of Will Ospreay
Ricochet and Will Ospreay were great rivals before the former joined WWE. While fans thought a match between the two would never take place again, they were excited when the former WWE star joined All Elite Wrestling. Since then, fans have been expecting a big rematch between the popular high flyers.
During a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, The Human Highlight Reel mentioned that he was not jealous of Will Ospreay and had been in contact with the latter while working for WWE.
“I don’t think anybody is jealous of anybody in the wrestling business, really. I mean, I’m sure there are, but again, my core—my people, my circle, the people that I’m around—nobody is jealous of anybody. And again, I’m sure there are egos, and there are people. But as far as we go, we’ve been in contact basically the whole time,” he said.
It will be interesting to see if the much-awaited match between the two men will happen soon in AEW.
