Sammy Guevara sends emotional message as family reaches major milestone

Sammy Guevara is currently making his way up the card in AEW and ROH. However, back home he's celebrating a major milestone, as his daughter just had her first birthday. The Spanish God sent out an emotional message today as his family celebrated the special occasion.

Guevara is married to fellow AEW star Tay Melo, who has been out of action since announcing her pregnancy at Double or Nothing 2023. Their daughter, Luna, was born on November 28 last year, marking today as her first birthday.

Sammy and Tay threw a small party for their daughter today and posted a video on his X (fka Twitter) account. The Spanish God wrote a message for his little girl and expressed his undying love for her.

"And just like that... she is one !!! Luna, my little baby L, my pão de queijo, my everything. I want you to know that you are the best thing that ever happened in our life, you truly made everything better, there's not one day that goes by without me thanking God for your life. Your parents love you Luna, we will forever be here for EVERYTHING. You are the most smart, beautiful, strong and amazing kid I ever saw. Happy birthday my daughter, I promise you I'll do everything to give you the most amazing life with a lot of love ! Let's celebrate," he wrote.

Sammy Guevara recently celebrated another milestone

Raising a daughter is a monumental task, but Sammy Guevara is working just as hard in the ring these days. He's currently the ROH World Tag Team Champion alongside Dustin Rhodes, and the two recently passed a major milestone.

On November 25, Guevara and Rhodes reached 100 days as champions. The Spanish God celebrated with a message on X.

"Today marks 100 days as Champs! #TexasFavoriteSons @dustinrhodes," he wrote.

Sammy Guevara and Dustin Rhodes won the ROH World Tag Team Championship from The Undisputed Kingdom's Matt Taven and Mike Bennett on the August 17 episode of AEW Collision. The two are riding high, but whether they can extend their reign into 2025 remains to be seen.
