Saraya, fka Paige, breaks character to share rare private update
Former AEW Women's Champion Saraya (fka Paige) has been a heel in AEW since forming The Outcasts. But recently she made a revelation to a fan after they complimented her.
The British star has been stuck somewhere in the middle ground in the Jacksonville-based promotion so far. She has had a fairly decent run this year, getting wins over some major stars, but some feel she has not seemingly proven herself to be worthy of a world title shot just yet. Heading into All In, she is without a specific direction for her character on screen.
On X/Twitter, a fan complimented her during AEW Rampage when she had a match against Nyla Rose a few days ago, saying she was in great shape. Saraya responded hilariously, saying that this was due to food poisoning, an unfortunate situation that ended up working out for her.
"Thanks, it was the food poisoning," the former WWE Superstar replied.
Saraya has accused AEW of leaving her out of All In
Last year during All In's debut at Wembley Stadium, Saraya won her first AEW Women's Championship in front of her family in her home country. But for this year's show, it seems there may be a big chance she misses out on the show entirely.
Almost a month ago on Rampage, the former WWE Superstar was in a backstage interview with Arkady Aura. She talked about how her not having a path to All In was because the promotion was scared of her and intentionally kept her out of the show. But she claimed she was going to find her path, no matter who was in her way.
"You know why, though? It's because AEW is scared of me. The girls' locker room are terrified of me because I am the living legend in this business. I understand, trust me. But last year at All In, I had the world at my feet, and now, let's be real here, they're just trying to keep me off the show. They can't keep me off the show because, you know what, I am the show. And all roads are leading to Wembley for me, baby, and I don't care about who I have to step on to get there," Saraya said. [0:21-0:56]
With few days left in the countdown till All In, her time is running short, and she'll have to find a way very soon for her to make an appearance at the event.
