Saraya (fka Paige) breaks social media silence after rumor about AEW contract expiry surfaces
Former WWE Divas Champion, Saraya (fka Paige) broke her silence on social media following all the rumors about her AEW contract expiry circulating the wrestling world. She shared a message for the fans discussing her status.
Saraya (fka Paige) made her AEW debut in 2022 after missing a number of years due to injury. She gained prominence during her time in the WWE from 2012 to 2017. The former Divas champion had a decent run in Tony Khan's promotion as well, as she won the All Elite women's world title last year at All In in her home country.
However, Saraya has seemed directionless ever since losing her women's world title. Meanwhile, a recent report revealed that the 32-year-old star's contract with Tony Khan's promotion is set to be up this September. After the report came out, fans on the internet have been constantly speculating about her situation and future.
Saraya took notice of the discussions online and shared a message for all the fans on the internet. She took to the 'X' social media platform to address the rumors and the discussions regarding her AEW contract reportedly coming up soon. The former WWE Divas champion wrote the following in the post:
"For hating me so much you guys sure do talk a lot about me."
Saraya (fka Paige) is set for a big title match this Wednesday
Despite AEW All In 2024 taking place in her home country, England, Saraya (fka Paige) is still not on the card for the event. Nonetheless, she has an opportunity to take her former friend, Toni Storm's spot on the show.
This Wednesday on Dynamite, Saraya will challenge Storm for the All Elite women's world title in Cardiff, Wales. The winner will take the title to Wembley Stadium this Sunday and defend it against Mariah May.
Henceforth, it remains to be seen if the former WWE Divas Champion manages to capture the title and make it to All In this Sunday.
