Saraya fka Paige wanted to drop her AEW Women’s World Championship to ex-WWE star

AEW star Saraya revealed she wanted to lose the AEW Women's World Championship to a former WWE Superstar. The ex-WWE star being discussed is "Timeless" Toni Storm, who has been the AEW Women's World Champion for 355-plus days.

The Norfolk Doll signed with AEW and quickly became one of the top stars in the company. Months after joining the Jacksonville-based promotion, she captured gold at the 2023 All In pay-per-view held at Wembley Stadium. She defeated Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida, and Toni Storm to become the champion of the division.

Saraya lost the championship after holding it for 44 days to Hikaru Shida, who made history by becoming the first three-time AEW Women's World Champion. Speaking on Izzy In Sports, the Anti-Diva admitted she wanted to lose the title to Toni Storm and cement her as the face of AEW.

"I wish, the only thing that I wish was a little bit different, I wish it was me that lost to Toni. (...) I wish it was me because Toni was on her up and up, becoming the face, man or woman, in the company," she said.

However, the former AEW Women's World Champion also said she trusted Tony Khan's booking decisions.

"But Tony Khan knows what he’s doing, so I trust the process. It’s just me personally, I would have loved to have faced Toni in LA and dropped the title to her," she added. [H/T - WrestleZone]

Saraya to take part in Owen Hart Foundation tournament

For weeks now, Anti-Diva and Toni Storm have been crossing paths with each other. On the recent edition of Rampage, Harley Cameron announced that the Norfolk Doll would be participating in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament along with Kris Statlander, Willow Nightingale, and Mariah May.

It will be interesting to see if Toni and Saraya will face each other at All In this year.
