"She ruined me, but, she's gone," says Toni Storm about top star amid AEW absence
Former AEW Women's World Champion "Timeless" Toni Storm recently opened up about her friend-turned-rival in the Jacksonville-based company. Storm deemed the star as her toughest challenger.
The top star in question is current AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May. The Glamour shockingly betrayed her former mentor Toni Storm after winning the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Tournament earlier this year. May also managed to defeat Storm at All In 2024, in her hometown of London, to become the Women's World Champion.
Meanwhile, Storm considered Mariah May as her toughest challenger during her recent Women's World title reign. During an interview with FOX Sports MX recently, The Timeless One recalled the betrayal from May and also stated that she would not trust anyone again.
"I don't know how to say her name, but I will because this is FOX, Mariah May. She ruined me, but she's gone; she is out of my life, but I'm in Mexico, and life is good. Don't trust anybody; don't bother with anyone; they'll just stab you on your back and slap you in the face; it's a terrible time!" she said. [0:04-0:26]
Toni Storm sends a message to her current rival after losing to her
Toni Storm recently traveled to Mexico to have a match against La Catalina in CMLL. At the recent Super Viernes event, the Auckland-born star surprisingly lost to Catalina in a singles bout.
Following her shocking loss, Storm sent the following message to La Catalina in a post-match promo:
"La Catalina! You were lucky this time, because nobody, nobody beats timeless Toni Storm! You got lucky! But unlucky for you, I will be back! Very soon! I don't know when, but you will soon find out. So get ready for the a**e whooping of the ages! I hate you! I hate you, La Catalina! You and your bottom better watch out. Okay? Okay?" [H/T: Fightful]
Only time will tell if Storm will be able to exact revenge on La Catalina!
