"She's coming" - Fans certain Mercedes Moné teased the AEW debut of a former WWE Divas Champion
Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks) currently holds the AEW TBS Championship and the NJPW Strong Women's Title. She won the former at Double or Nothing by defeating Willow Nightingale and the latter by beating Stephanie Vaquer at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 in a Winner Takes All Match.
In the latest episode of Dynamite, the 32-year-old cut an interesting promo that has led fans to speculate that former WWE Divas Champion Natalya might show up on the Tony Khan-led promotion in the coming days. The erstwhile Sasha Banks seemingly embraced her heel turn as she mocked Hall of Famer Bret Hart by stealing the latter's catchphrase.
"Calgary, please say, 'Hello!' to your CEO! I am so honored to be here with you tonight to celebrate my history-making double victory. And [a] huge shout out to my boys, Nicholas and Matthew Jackson, for the extra security tonight. Because I will not be interrupted. These two titles prove that I am the past, present, and the future because I am the best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be," she said.
Some fans believe that the above promo teased the debut of 42-year-old WWE Superstar Natalya. The Queen of Harts has been a part of the Stamford-based promotion since 2007. However, her contract is reportedly set to expire this summer, and she has yet to re-sign a new deal with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. She was last seen on WWE TV during the June 3, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW.
Take a look at the reactions to Mercedes Moné's promo below.
Mercedes Moné asks Britt Baker to stop dreaming about facing her at All In
Last week, former AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker expressed her desire to face Mercedes Moné at All In 2024. The marquee event is scheduled for August 25, 2024, at Wembley Stadium.
However, in the latest episode of Dynamite, Mercedes urged Baker to stop dreaming.
"And as far as Britt Baker goes, you’d better wake up from your stupid fantasy of facing me at All In," Mercedes said.
It will be interesting to see if Moné and Baker lock horns at All In 2024.
