Mercedes Mone was involved in a weird spot this week on Dynamite. The fans have shared their thoughts on this.
Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander have been feuding over the TBS Championship in recent months. This feud got personal when Kamille and the CEO tried to run over the former TBS Champion with their car.
Statlander attacked Mone last week on Dynamite and drove her through the wall. This week on Dynamite, Kris Statlander faced off against Hikaru Shida and emerged victorious. Following the match, both women showed respect towards each other by shaking hands.
However, they were soon interrupted by the CEO and Kamille. The TBS Champion ordered her bodyguard to go after Statlander and finish the job. However, Shida and Statlander stood their ground and sent Kamille out of the ring. The erstwhile Sasha Banks tried to hit Statlander with a backstabber but she awkwardly struggled to grab a hold of her rival. This allowed the former TBS Champion enough time to hit the Wednesday Night Fever.

Kris Statlander took a shot at Mercedes Mone
Kris Statlander defeated Jade Cargill at AEW Double or Nothing 2023 to win the TBS Championship. She held the title for a few months before she lost it to Julia Hart in a three-way match at Full Gear 2023. She lost her title without being pinned. This year at Full Gear, Statlander has the chance to regain her title.
During a recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Kris Statlander claimed to be the rightful champion since she never got pinned to lose her title. She also said she would knock Mercedes Mone off her high horse.
“I’m feeling more ready than ever to reclaim my throne as the TBS Champion. As we all know, Full Gear last year, I lost the title, but never got pinned for the title. I feel like if anything, this past year has really proven that I’m more worthy of a title than ever, especially given the past couple pay-per-views I’ve been very lucky to be a part of. I think it’s about time somebody knocks Mercedes off her high horse to speak because we all know who the rightful champion should be and that’s me.” [H/T: Fightful]
