Shelton Benjamin sends a message to WWE SmackDown star after Bloodline upset
Last Friday's WWE SmackDown saw The Bloodline lose their Tag Team Titles to Motor City Machine Guns in a huge upset. AEW star Shelton Benjamin recently sent a message to one-half of the new Tag Team Champions Alex Shelley.
This past week on Friday Night SmackDown, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin (Motor City Machine Guns) defeated DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tomasso Ciampa) to become number one contenders for Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa's WWE Tag Team Championships. In a shocking turn of events, their match against The Bloodline happened right after the number one contender's bout. The MCMG then defeated The Tongas to become the new Tag Team Champions.
On X (formerly known as Twitter), Shelton Benjamin congratulated Alex Shelley for winning the WWE Tag Team Championships on SmackDown.
"Congratulations @AlexShelley313 long overdue my friend," he wrote.

Shelton Benjamin wants to see former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley arrive in AEW
The Hurt Syndicate has been evolving every week in All Elite Wrestling ever since MVP and Shelton Benjamin made their debuts. Many reports have revealed that Bobby Lashley has also signed with the Jacksonville-based promotion and is set to join the faction soon.
In a recent chat on the Gabby AF podcast, Shelton Benjamin explained the impact of Bobby Lashley's arrival to All Elite Wrestling. However, he's unsure when The All Mighty will be able to join the promotion as he's busy with his own projects currently.
"If Bobby were to come… most people were fans of The Hurt Business; myself, MVP, Bobby, and Cedric [Alexander]," he said. "The prospect of Bobby coming to AEW, that’s huge, that’s a win for AEW. Aside from myself, you have one of the most phenomenal athletes you could ever get. A two-time WWE World Champion. It only brings a bigger audience to AEW, so it’s a plus. When that will happen, I’m not sure. Bobby has his own plans and when/if they coincide with ours is yet to be determined. Him coming to AEW can only help everybody involved. It’ll be a lot of fun."
We will have to wait and see if Bobby Lashley shows up this Wednesday night after Shelton Benjamin's match against Swerve Strickland on Dynamite.
