Shocking AEW names outselling Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland in merch sales

The new merchandise numbers for AEW are shocking, as a couple of rising stars are outselling top talents like Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland. These stars have been gaining popularity with fans, and it seems their merch sales are reflecting that.

The Outrunners are quickly becoming fan favorites in both AEW and ROH. The team of Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum has generated a lot of traction on television lately. Although they aren't considered main event talent, the numbers indicate that they are more popular than people think.

According to recent reports from Wrestlenomics, the top AEW merchandise movers for the month of August are AEW's logo merch, Will Ospreay, MJF, ROH, Mariah May, Darby Allin, Rob Schamberger, The Outrunners, Bryan Danielson, and Britt Baker. Interestingly enough, The Outrunners have beaten Danielson, Jon Moxley, and even the former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland in terms of merch sales.

Konnan believes that Swerve Strickland should've rejected Tony Khan's offer and re-signed with WWE

Just before his title match at AEW All In, Swerve Strickland signed a new deal with AEW. This deal was reported to be one of the biggest in the company's history, which raised a lot of eyebrows. Many people have since given their thoughts on this.

Speaking on his Keepin' It 100 podcast, Konnan believed that Swerve should have signed with WWE instead of accepting Tony's offer.

"Why Swerve would stay there unless he's thinking, 'Let me get paid for the next five years and be a very rich man. And in five years, you know, if they don't bury me, which they probably won't, I'll still be viable, and I could go over there!' I would've gone there right now because they [WWE] probably would've made him a big star," he added. [2:45-3:42]

It remains to be seen if this move to re-sign with All Elite Wrestling will remain fruitful for Swerve in the long run.
