"Signed Goldberg?" "Whatchu got cookin', TK?" - Fans speculate as Tony Khan drops an exciting 2024 teaser for AEW

2024 has been a convoluted year for AEW, however, its co-owner, Tony Khan recently did something that got fans talking. The 41-year-old is very active on X (formerly Twitter) and is infamous for string controversy sometimes.

Khan is a polarising figure in the world of professional wrestling. Even though he has been praised for taking his company to new heights, he has faced criticism from time to time. Many fans and popular wrestling figures have stated that TK occasionally makes rash business decisions, books talents poorly, and behaves unprofessionally.

These harsh words only surged due to AEW's underwhelming year so far. Their TV ratings have been dwindling and many of their top attractions have been sidelined due to injury.

Interestingly, a few hours ago, Khan took to X and shared an update about the Jacksonville-based company. He revealed that the rest of 2024 is going to be exciting for AEW and added that the promotion is going to have its best year yet.

"I'm so excited for the rest of 2024@AEW! I think that this will be the best year in AEW yet!"

Understandably, this update has attracted vast engagement from fans and they have begun speculating what Khan has in store for them. Furthermore, some fans believe that AEW is going to sign legends such as Goldberg and Shane McMahon.

Who could Tony Khan sign next?

It is widely speculated that AEW will soon sign ex-WWE Superstar, Ricochet. The 35-year-old recently left WWE after performing for them from 2018 to 2024.

Furthermore, ECW original Tommy Dreamer believes that signing for the Jacksonville promotion would be the right career decision for the high flyer.

"He'll [Ricochet] probably show up in AEW because of the connections he had, the matches he had, and then you also look at career-wise." Tommy Dreamer said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

During his WWE run, Ricochet won championships such as the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the WWE United States Championship, the NXT North American Championship, and more. It will be interesting to see if The Highlight of the Night joins Tony Khan's promotion.
