Skye Blue breaks silence following her career-threatening injury on AEW Collision
A few days ago on AEW Collision, Skye Blue sustained an injury, forcing an early end to her match scheduled for the night. She has finally broken her silence.
Last Saturday, the Chicago native faced off against Hikaru Shida in a singles competition. Unfortunately, after Shida went for a Crossbody from the middle rope to the outside, Skye had a bad landing after taking the bump and sustained an injury. The medical staff went to check up on her, and the match was immediately called off, with the former AEW Women's Champion taking the win.
Tony Khan announced moments later that Skye Blue was suffering from an ankle injury, hence the match being called off. Last night, on Instagram, she posted an image of her entrance during Saturday's show, claiming that she would bounce back from her injury predicament.
"I’ll be back," she wrote.
It also seems that she may be set to miss an extended period. Dave Meltzer's report on the recent Wrestling Observer Radio claimed that she had broken her ankle and could be out for a while.
Skye Blue's boyfriend, Kyle Fletcher, provided an update on her condition after the show
Kyle Fletcher, an AEW star who is Skye Blue's real-life boyfriend, was able to update fans on how she was doing following the injury she sustained at Collision.
At the time, it seemed that this was a serious situation, as the medical team was right at the scene, and she had to be carried backstage.
On X/ Twitter, Kyle Fletcher posted a picture of Skye Blue seemingly already beginning her recovery stage with her right foot all wrapped up and elevated. He mentioned that she had gotten home already, and he was now taking care of her.
"we got her home everyone, doctor Kyle on the clock yeeeeeeeefreakinhaaaaaaaaaw" the Australian tweeted.

It remains to be seen how long the AEW star will be out, but seeing how this has gone for other stars, she could be out for several months minimum.
We at Sportskeeda hope for a speedy and smooth recovery for her.
