Skye Blue's boyfriend issues a big update on her agonizing injury setback

AEW fans have spent the last 10 days concerned with Skye Blue and her health after she suffered an unfortunate in-ring injury on Collision. Blue's boyfriend and fellow wrestler, Kyle Fletcher, has now provided an update on her situation.

Blue has been out of action since suffering an apparent knee injury during AEW Collision on July 20, while wrestling Hikaru Shida for the first time ever. The former tag team partners were forced to stop the match, and then The Shining Samurai was declared the winner as medics tended to the upstart. Tony Khan later confirmed an ankle injury to the 24-year-old.

Shida offered a rematch to Blue the following day, but it looks like the bout will have to wait. Kyle Fletcher took to X/Twitter today to reveal that his girlfriend just underwent surgery. He shared a photo of the Chicagoan outside of a hospital unit, with a cast on and her crutches nearby.

"Send prayers & cat toys," Kyle Fletcher wrote with the photo below.

Fletcher and Skye Blue have been dating for at least a year. The Don Callis Family member went public with the relationship in June 2023. Blue previously dated Dante Martin.
