"Sorry for ur loss, big dog"  - Dustin Rhodes reacts to Keith Lee's heartbreaking update

Reigning ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Dustin Rhodes has sent a heartfelt message to his fellow AEW star Keith Lee after the latter recently shared a heartbreaking personal update. The Limitless has been out of action since December last year.

Lee last wrestled on an episode of AEW Collision in December 2023, when he faced Brian Cage. He later pulled out of the Worlds End PPV due to a serious injury. The talented star was set to face Swerve Strickland at the pay-per-view.

The 39-year-old recently took to his X (Twitter) account to share that one of his longtime friends had passed away.

"26-year best friendship. Gone. And now, I have to find a way to forward march. Rest in Power, brudda. This realm... it is quite rough. I am hopeful for positivity in the rest of your lives," he wrote.

AEW veteran Dustin Rhodes later reacted to the post with a heartfelt message.

"Sorry for [yo]ur loss, big dog," Dustin wrote.

Veteran wrestler claims Dustin Rhodes wouldn't have been on TV if he was signed to WWE

Dustin Rhodes (FKA Goldust) enjoyed several stints with the Stamford-based promotion between 1995 and 2018.

However, former ECW World Champion Tommy Dreamer has claimed that the erstwhile Goldust wouldn't have been featured on WWE TV if the latter was currently a part of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut. Dreamer cited Dustin's age as the reason behind his claim.

"I wouldn't put anyone who's older on television all the time, because then there's backlash. I do feel AEW has used veterans very, very well. There is ageism in WWE. I think if Dustin was in WWE, I don't know if he'd even be on television at all, just because of his age," he said on the Busted Open podcast.

It will be interesting to see if Dustin returns to WWE for another stint following the expiration of his current deal with Tony Khan's promotion.
