SPOILER: Popular faction reunites at AEW event after controversial exit rumors
A top AEW stable was seen together after exit rumors of a member circulated following Dynamite. The group being discussed is The House of Black.
On the recent edition of Dynamite, The House of Black leader Malakai Black took on Adam Cole, who is in a race to capture three wins to get a match against MJF at Full Gear. The Panama City Playboy defeated Buddy Matthews, another member of the faction, the week prior. The former picked up the win against Malakai this week.
During the match, The Antihero worked as a babyface and ensured he didn't hurt Adam Cole's recently healed leg. Following the bout, the star hugged the 2022 Owen Hart Cup winner while Cole asked the crowd to appreciate Malakai Black's efforts. The latter was seemingly emotional as he turned to the crowd before returning backstage.
These incidents begged the question of if this was Malakai Black's last match. However, after a few hours, he clarified that this was not a farewell match.
AEW Collision, which was taped tonight and will air on Saturday, saw Malakai Black and his stable in action. This clears up any speculations of the star's exit. A fan in attendance shared a picture of the trio standing together in the squared circle.
Malakai Black denies the rumors of leaving AEW
After an emotional and storied contest on Dynamite, Adam Cole and the fans applauded the 39-year-old star for his performance, which was misunderstood by many.
Speaking on his story on Instagram, Malakai Black revealed that he isn't leaving AEW, nor is he retiring from in-ring competition.
"Here we are once more, the match down, and again, everybody here is, 'Oh, he's retiring because of his injuries, and this and that!' Well, neither of these things. I'm not injured, nor am I retiring nor am I leaving," he said.
It will be interesting to see what is next for The Antihero after his loss against Adam Cole.
