"Still an Edgehead!" – Former WWE star pays tribute to Adam Copeland

A former WWE star recently took to Twitter to shared a clip of his match in which he paid tribute to the Rated R Superstar, Adam Copeland.

The name in question is none other than Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder), who, along with Brian Myers (fka Curt Hawkins), were known as the 'Edgeheads' and acted as the associates of Adam Copeland on WWE's SmackDown brand in 2007-2008.

Taking to Twitter (X), Cardona shared a clip of his bout against Shawn Spears where he hit the AEW star with a Spear in tribute to Adam Copeland, while calling himself an 'Edgehead'.

With Adam Copeland now in All Elite Wrestling, a match between Cardona and Copeland is a possibility, as AEW allows wrestlers to compete in other promotions as well.


Matt Cardona wants to wrestle a WWE Hall of Famer

Former WWE star Matt Cardona, has revealed that he wants to work with Hall of Famer and veteran commentator Jerry "The King" Lawler.

The former Intercontinental Champion has revived his career on the Indies after getting released by the Stamford-based promotion in 2020. Cardona has won numerous titles from different promotions ever since his departure and also shared the ring with veterans like Bully Ray, Rhyno and Ricky Morton.

In a Twitter post, Cardona stated that Jerry Lawler and him should either team up or wrestle each other:

"I think it’s official that Jerry Lawler and I need to either team up... or wrestle each other," wrote Cardona.
