Sting called an “idiot” after dangerous bump on AEW Dynamite, reveals WWE veteran

AEW star Sting is no stranger when it comes to performing risky stunts despite his advancing years. In almost all the matches that he has been involved, he has had atleast one risky spot.

He did the same on this week’s Dynamite too when he gave a Scorpion Death Drop to Powerhouse Hobbs off the stage and onto a table. That move made all the fans in attendance gasp, and genuinely worried for the Icon.

Tony Schiavone has now revealed how referee Bryce Remsburg hilariously reprimanded The Enigma immediately after the move. Tony was speaking on the Rock 106.1 radio show when he said:

“You're an idiot, you know that, don't you? You don't have to do this. Fans love you. You don't have to do this.” [H/T Twitter]

The Vigilante got up and showed no signs of any injury despite the scary spot and fans will be very happy with that.

Konosuke Takeshita sends touching message to Sting

Konosuke Takeshita broke character and sent out a heartwarming message to Sting as he nears his retirement from the game.

The Japanese star and Powerhouse Hobbs took on the WWE Hall of Famer and Darby Allin on this week’s Dynamite and lost the bout. Despite the loss, Takeshita took to Twitter to send a message to the departing icon. He wrote:

“To be honest, it was very special to be able to fight against Sting. Him vs. Great Muta VHS had a huge impact on me as a kid. Thanks. Then...Who should I target next?”

It is great that a character like Takeshita has broken character to send out a message to the WCW icon. It just goes to show how much he is respected and the kind of gaping hole it will leave once he retires from wrestling.
