Sting returning for a face-to-face with 61-year-old AEW star would be "incredible," says legend (Exclusive)

Sportskeeda Senior Editor Bill Apter believes Sting could return to AEW to have some verbal exchanges with veteran Don Callis. The Vigilante was last seen at the All In PPV event.

Sting has had his fair share of battles against The Don Callis Family during his run in AEW. However, a face-to-face interview with Don Callis has yet to happen, and veteran Bill Apter has sparked interest in seeing the WCW legend go one-on-one with Callis on the microphone.

Speaking in the recent episode of Sportskeeda's exclusive The Wrestling Outlaws podcast hosted by Mac Davis, Senior Editor Bill Apter said that he would like to see Sting return to have segments with Don Callis who is one of the major heel managers in AEW.

"I want to see Sting not wrestling but face-to-face with Don Callis. I think those interviews would be incredible." [2:33- 2:41]

AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs is proud of The Don Callis Family

The former TNT Champion joined The Don Callis Family last year. However, he has been absent from television due to an injury. In a recent interview with In The Kliq, Powerhouse Hobbs had an interesting reaction to his association with the heel stable.

Hobbs further praised Konosuke Takeshita for his AEW International Title victory and Kyle Fletcher for reinventing himself with his heel persona. He also sent a warning to the locker room which could be a hint of his potential return.

"Am I?" Hobbs asked. "I'm very happy for [Konosuke] Takeshita. Very happy for him. Very happy that this angry, mean version of Kyle Fletcher showed up. So I'm very proud of those two guys. I prefer sometimes just to sit back and watch everybody. I've got my eye on everyone. No one's excluded. If you're breathing and you have a full-time contract on that roster — you know, fair game." The Don Callis Family recently recruited Lance Archer to the faction. It will be interesting to see if Don Callis adds more members to the group in the future.
