Sting shares a three-word message ahead of AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts
The AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts is happening tonight. Before the blockbuster event, Sting went online to share a three-word message.
Sting was a part of Tony Khan's All Elite Wrestling from 2020 to 2024. He retired earlier this year in March. In his last wrestling match, The Icon teamed up with Darby Allin to defeat Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson at the AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View.
A few hours ago, the WCW veteran Sting took to X (formerly Twitter) to hype up tonight's Blood and Guts event.
"Blood, guts, tonight! #AEWDynamite," he tweeted.
Update on Darby Allin training Sting's son
Sting's sons Garrett and Steven Borden were involved in his retirement storyline. The fans saw both of The Icon's sons paying tribute to his vast and incredible career. They even had a physical encounter with The Young Bucks.
Following their involvement in their father's storyline, the fans have been expecting to see them inside the squared circle again soon. Darby Allin has already started training one of the WWE Hall of Famer's sons, Steven Burden.
In a recent interview, Allin provided an update on how the training is going on.
“He’s still training. He stays outside in the tent in my front yard. And then yeah, it’s still coming. Definitely want to take our time with that and not rush anything. Because we don’t want it to look like, ‘Oh, Sting’s son’s getting a handout and we’re just going to rush him in there and this guy sucks really bad in the ring.’ No, we want to make sure he’s ready to rock, you know, whenever he steps foot in the ring you only get one shot at a first impression."
The fans might or might not see Sting in the ring again. But they are surely excited to see the younger version of The Icon. Given the star's legendary career, it would not be an easy task to walk in his footsteps.
