Surprising fact about Bobby Lashley's AEW debut that was taken for granted
Bobby Lashley made a blockbuster appearance on Fright Night Dynamite last week. He exited WWE in August 2024 and was a free agent for a couple of months before stepping foot in the AEW ring.
Several weeks before The All-Mighty's appearance in the Jacksonville-based promotion, MVP and Shelton Benjamin started a rivalry with Swerve Strickland. Following the duo's debut, many speculated that Montel will soon be bringing the former WWE Champion to AEW and start The Hurt Syndicate's reign in AEW.
After Shelton and Swerve collided last week, Lashley surprised everyone and ambushed the former AEW World Champion. Following the brutal attack, The Hurt Syndicate has been advertised for the upcoming edition of Dynamite. While many claimed that the star is already All Elite, that might not be the case as the company posted an interesting tweet recently.
AEW's recent tweet promoted The Hurt Syndicate's upcoming appearance on Dynamite. The post also suggested that AEW President Tony Khan is yet to sign Bobby Lashley and make him AEW-bound. The tweet posed the question of whether the 48-year-old star would sign the contract, meaning he hasn't become All Elite - yet.

"#AEWDynamite TOMORROW, @snhuarena_nh | Manchester, NH, LIVE at 8/7c | @TBSNetwork, The Hurt Syndicate LIVE! @FightBobby shocked the world last week on Dynamite. Will AEW GM & CEO @TonyKhan be able to get Lashley to sign the dotted line?"
Bobby Lashley recently questioned Tony Khan if he had enough money to hire him
Prior to making his debut at Fright Night Dynamite, The All-Mighty praised AEW and AEW President Tony Khan for building a huge brand. He also talked about his friends Shelton Benjamin and MVP.
While speaking during his recent appearance on Lame Guys, Bobby Lashley claimed that the Tony Khan-based promotion doesn't have sufficient capital to sign him to an AEW contract.
"You think they have enough money for me?" he said.
It will be interesting to see if Lashley answers questions regarding his situation with AEW.
