Swerve Strickland lashes out at AEW star on live television
Former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland brutally ambushed his opponent on tonight's Dynamite. The unfortunate victim tonight was Max Caster. The Acclaimed star has been seemingly showing signs of joining The Hurt Syndicate. He has also self-proclaimed himself as the best wrestler alive on Dynamite in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, The Realest star hasn't been able to gain much momentum in the last few weeks since The Hurt Syndicate's arrival. The faction constantly went after Swerve and his manager Prince Nana. Further, he lost to Bobby Lashley at the Full Gear pay-per-view. On the last edition of Dynamite, he was being interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage to get his thoughts on the recent loss.
While Swerve Strickland was answering the question, he was interrupted by Max Caster, who taunted him over his loss against The All Mighty. The former AEW World Champion then went on to viciously attack him backstage. On tonight's Dynamite, Billy Gunn tried to explain to Caster the perilousness of Strickland ahead of their contest but The Platinum star didn't bother to care to listen to the advice.
Max Caster entered the ring blooming with confidence but was defeated by Swerve Strickland in under three minutes. Following the match, The Realest star delivered a Swerve Stomp on Caster's head.
It remains to be seen what is next for Swerve following tonight's quick victory.
