Swerve Strickland teases big things for star who was compared to The Rock: "He has a lot to offer"

AEW star Swerve Strickland is a former AEW World Champion. He held the title for more than 120 days but lost it to Bryan Danielson at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View. He and his manager, Prince Nana, are currently in a rivalry with new All Elite Wrestling signees, MVP and Shelton Benjamin.

Strickland recently appeared on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson. There he showered AEW stars EJ Nduka and Lee Johnson with praise. Furthermore, he advised fans to keep an eye on both wrestlers. When Nduka was signed to the WWE, Triple H reportedly compared him to The Rock. Additionally, the former AEW World Champion stated that the IFBB pro bodybuilder had a lot to offer.

"Shoutout EJ Nduka. He has a lot to offer. He is hungry. He has a lot ‘I want to prove to the world.’ Not to anybody specific, just, ‘I want to prove it to the world. He knows how good he can be and what he can offer. I see it in him. I talk to him, have these conversations, and he’s dedicated. Week in and week out. Day in and day out, he’s on it. Whether training or in the ring, he’s training and working on it. Pay attention to him and Lee Johnson," said Strickland. [H/T: WrestleTalk]

MVP sent a warning to Swerve Strickland on last week's Dynamite

On last week's episode of Dynamite, Shelton Benjamin defeated Lio Rush in his debut AEW match. Furthermore, MVP picked up the microphone and delivered a promo, where he asked Strickland to reconsider his decision to stay with Nana, or else he would have to suffer.

"Swerve Strickland, I know you’re watching, and I want you to know that you need to reconsider your position because this is your future. And I believe that we need to finish the conversation that we started at WrestleDream. You and the standard of excellence, Shelton Benjamin!" said MVP. [H/T: allelitewrestling.com]
