Tay Melo gets emotional after popular AEW star's huge achievement

AEW star Tay Melo recently shared her support for a fellow All Elite star who recently picked up a huge victory outside Tony Khan's promotion. The star in question is none other than Anna Jay.

STARDOM recently announced their 5STAR Grand Prix tournament is set to end on August 31. In the Blue Stars A block of the bout, Anna Jay was announced as one of the participants. It also marked Jay's debut in Japan. She locked horns with Saori Anou and managed to pick up a huge victory to advance in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Tay Melo took to her X (Twitter) account to react to Anna Jay's monumental triumph in Japan.

"Look at her," she wrote.

Tay Melo recently commented on her status for in-ring return in AEW

Tay Melo has been out of action since last year. The 29-year-old's last in-ring performance for Tony Khan's promotion came on the January 11, 2023, episode of Rampage.

Melo gave birth to a baby girl in November 2023 and is now preparing for her return to the squared circle.

In May 2024, the AEW star took to her X (Twitter) account to address her potential in-ring return. The Brazilian professional wrestler explained the difficulties she has been facing in her training and promised to get stronger not only for herself but for her daughter. Melo further teased her return by saying that she's getting closer to her comeback every day.

"So happy to be able to be in the ring again. With a lot of patience, I’ll get ready to be back; it’s a whole new body, and I still feel so [weak] inside. I got frustrated a couple times; had to hold my tears and keep going. My body was my baby’s home for 40 weeks and now I’ll get stronger not just for me but for her too. It’s a long way to go but I’m closer than yesterday," she wrote.

It will be interesting to see if Tay Melo returns to AEW TV in the coming weeks.
