Taz breaks silence after unfortunate update on his AEW status
The WWE legend and current AEW commentator, Taz, opened up on his current health status after the recent unfortunate update. The veteran returned to commentary this past Wednesday on Dynamite.
Taz is known for his time in ECW and WWE as a popular wrestling legend. He later transitioned into the commentary role during his time in the Stamford-based promotion as well. Taz has been in the role of color commentator in AEW for the past few years. He was absent from TV since September due to health issues.
Taz had to undergo knee replacement surgery, and he was in the recovery phase. The ECW legend surprised everyone by joining the commentary team this past Wednesday on Dynamite. However, it was later reported that Taz appeared on this week's Dynamite only because it took place close to his house, as he still couldn't travel.
Meanwhile, a fan on X (fka Twitter) sent a heartfelt message to the veteran talking about his recovery. Taz took notice of the sweet message and reacted to it by thanking the fan while also revealing that his recovery after surgery is going great as of now.
"Thank you! And yes, my recovery is going great! 👊" Taz wrote.
AEW veteran on if he has resentments towards WWE
The current AEW veteran commentator, Taz, left the WWE back in 2009 after a long tenure as a wrestler and later as a commentator. The ECW legend recently responded to a fan on X (fka Twitter) to clarify that he has no resentment against the Stamford-based promotion, as they gave him a new career opportunity.
"ZERO resentment. Why would you even say something like that? It’s so inaccurate… You don’t know me. And the thing you need to realize is they offered me a whole new career opportunity which I’m still doing today as a color commentator. So you’re dead wrong."
Moreover, Taz is still in the recovery phase, and the fans will have to wait and see when he returns to AEW television as a regular commentator.
