"Thank you" - Stone Cold Steve Austin reacts to AEW star's message
An AEW star sent a message to Stone Cold Steve Austin and the Texas Rattlesnake recently responded to him on social media. Austin is one of the most popular names in the industry and was part of some iconic moments in history.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts was one of the greatest heels in the history of professional wrestling, who carried a snake to the ring and would sometimes let it loose on his opponents. A famous instance of this is when he allowed his snake to bite Randy Savage in the arm.
During Jake's time in WWE, he was involved in many notable feuds against the top stars in the company. One of the people he faced was Stone Cold Steve Austin. Roberts took to social media to reminisce about his match with Austin from 1996 King of the Ring, the event was famously known for Austin's 3:16 promo which gave birth to his infamous gimmick. As Hall of Famer reflected on this moment in history, Stone Cold thanked him for his kind words.
"Thank you, Jake."

An ex-WWE writer was glad that Stone Cold Steve Austin didn't appear at WrestleMania 40
Many fans believed that with The Rock heavily involved in the main event storyline for WrestleMania 40, Steve Austin would return to confront his rival. During the Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns match, John Cena and The Undertaker returned to help The American Nightmare but Austin was nowhere to be found.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Kevin Ellam, ex-WWE writer Jon Rineman mentioned that he's glad Austin didn't come out at WrestleMania 40.
"I liked that Stone Cold kept his last match as his last appearance. I understand [that Austin's appearance wouldn't taint his last match], but what if you miss that Stunner and you have a GIF that goes viral? I thought that The Undertaker thing was perfect. I thought, hey, hats off to The Rock for selling it." [From 14:29 to 15:28]
The Hall of Famer last competed on WrestleMania 38 in 2022 against Kevin Owens. It remains to be seen if Stone Cold Steve Austin will ever make another in-ring return in the future.
