"That made no sense to me" - WWE personality perplexed over AEW's major decision on Toni Storm

A current WWE name has expressed his disagreement towards AEW's recent big decision regarding its former Women's World Champion Toni Storm. The Auckland-born star made her return last week after months of absence.

The WWE personality in question is popular analyst Sam Roberts. Last week on AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming, Toni Storm made her blockbuster return in her old persona after the main event. She confronted Mariah May after The Glamour retained the Women's World Title against Mina Shirakawa.

It was later announced that Storm would make her in-ring return on Rampage against Harley Cameron. Tony Khan's decision to have the 29-year-old's in-ring return on the Friday Night Show received a lot of backlash on social media. Meanwhile, WWE analyst Sam Roberts also expressed his thoughts on the same.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts criticized the idea of having Storm's first match back on Rampage, stating that the decision made no sense to him.

"Her first match back is on Rampage? She had a match with Harley Cameron on Rampage, and Harley Cameron is fantastic, by the way. But I am going, 'Why are you having Toni Storm's first match back in AEW on Rampage?"' he said.

The WWE analyst added:

"That really makes no sense to me; like, this should be a big deal; this should be a big Dynamite match that you advertise, maybe, two weeks in advance. Toni Storm is getting back in the ring as Toni Storm classic; you're like, 'That's cool!''' [1:05:29-1:06:04]

Veteran felt bad for an AEW star during Toni Storm's return

Former ECW World Champion Tommy Dreamer recently revealed that he felt bad for AEW star Thunder Rosa during Toni Storm's return on Dynamite last week.

Rosa was sitting in the front row during the match between Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa but was overshadowed when The Illustrious showed up.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer said the following:

"[I] kind of feel bad for our very own Thunder Rosa because I thought Thunder Rosa was kind of maybe setting up in that top spot. Who knows? But yes, good to see Toni Storm!"

Only time will tell what's next for Toni Storm following her return.
