"That's their weakness" – AEW star evaluates Mariah May and Toni Storm's in-ring performances (Exclusive)
Mariah May and Toni Storm have been two of the top stars in AEW over the last few months. In an exclusive interview, Willow Nightingale discussed both women's pros and cons as in-ring competitors.
Storm has been widely viewed as one of the world's best wrestlers in recent years. On August 25, May defeated her former on-screen mentor at All In at Wembley Stadium to win the AEW Women's World Championship.
Nightingale told Sportskeeda Wrestling Senior Editor Bill Apter that May's inexperience is her biggest weakness. Comparing The Glamour to Storm, the 30-year-old added that neither woman can match her powerful offense in the ring:
"Strengths [of Toni Storm's], she is super experienced, she is quick to adapt, she has an answer for everything in there," Nightingale said. "She's entertaining. A weakness, I mean, both of these girls that we've talked about so far, if I'm in the ring with them, I have the power advantage. That's their weakness. They're not as strong as me. That's what I'm gonna go for. Same with Toni." [5:11 – 5:42]

AEW star Willow Nightingale explains what her tattoo says
In the same interview, Willow Nightingale recalled how she worked as a piercer at a tattoo shop while wrestling on the independent scene earlier in her career.
The 30-year-old said a co-worker once offered to give her the tattoo that can be seen on her chest when she wrestles:
"He said, 'Do you wanna get like a written tattoo?'" Nightingale stated. "And I was like, 'You know, I guess this is kinda the thing I would want,' and it is, 'Fall in love with yourself.' But I wanted it written reverse flipped so that when I looked in the mirror I would be able to read it to myself." [1:14 – 1:31]
Nightingale has been feuding with Kris Statlander since her former tag team partner attacked her at Double or Nothing on May 26. The two women will go one-on-one in a Chicago Street Fight at All Out on September 7.
