The Young Bucks’ AEW World Tag Team Championship reign in serious jeopardy
On the latest edition of AEW Dynamite, the next contenders for The Young Bucks' World Tag Team titles have been determined. The match will take place in two weeks at the Grand Slam event, and the champs will face Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher.
Tonight, the promotion held the first Tag Team Casino Gauntlet Match. This followed the same rules as the singles match with the same namesake but followed tornado tag rules.
Several major tag teams came out for the match, including FTR, The Acclaimed, MxM Collection, and the newly reunited Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. But the biggest pop of the night came when The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) entered the match.
It was a chaotic match, to say the least, with around 18 men entering the contest with a chance to face The Young Bucks. But at a crucial juncture, Ospreay hit a Hidden Blade on Dante Martin and Fletcher pinned him quickly for them to secure a win.
This was The Aerial Assassin's third time winning a Casino Gauntlet match, proving that he thrives in matches of this sort. His two previous wins earned him an AEW World title shot and a match for the International Championship.
The Young Bucks' title reign may come to an end soon as Ospreay has a real chance of adding a second title to his waist at the Grand Slam event.
