The Young Bucks finally provide an update on Jack Perry after unprotected chair shot at AEW Blood & Guts 2024
The Young Bucks recently competed in a brutal Blood & Guts match along with Jack Perry. They have now provided an update on their stablemate after he was on the receiving end of an unprotected chair shot during the match.
Ever since The Young Bucks turned heel, they have misused their powers to get what they want. They even went so far as to attack Tony Khan several weeks ago on Dynamite. Hence, to stop The Elite's path of destruction, a Blood & Guts match was set up this past week between Team AEW and Team Elite.
It was a match filled with brutality as both teams battled for supremacy. During the closing moments of the match, Perry was tied to that cage. At this moment, Mark Briscoe clobbered him in the head with a steel chair. This proved to be a controversial moment in the match, given how careful people are with regard to CTE and brain trauma.
Following the match, The Young Bucks did an interview with Sports Illustrated, where they confirmed that Jack Perry is fine and that he is well aware of the risk he is taking in the ring.
“All I know is Jack is fine, and that’s all that matters,” said Nicholas Jackson. “We know the risk we’re taking in the ring, and it wouldn’t have happened if he wasn’t prepared for it.” [H/T: Sports Illustrated]
The Young Bucks were challenged for the AEW Tag Team Title by The Acclaimed after Blood & Guts
Although Blood & Guts just got over, the Bucks won't be able to rest as they received a challenge from The Acclaimed, who were also part of the match. The young team just laid down the challenge.
Following the Blood & Guts match, the AEW cameras caught up with The Acclaimed, who challenged the Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship.
"We still have a tag title shot. So, I suggest you heal up as quickly as you can because we're coming for you, The Young Bucks. We're coming for you, and we're coming for those titles, and we're going to become the next two-time AEW Tag Team Champions," said Anthony Bowens [3:20 - 3:40]
The Acclaimed seem more determined than ever to take the AEW tag titles from The Bucks.
