The Young Bucks need to replace top star with ex-WWE champion in The Elite, says Konnan

The former WCW veteran, Konnan suggested that The Young Bucks should remove a top star from The Elite and replace him with a former WWE champion. Konnan also suggested the idea of a new faction.

The top star in question is the AEW Continental champion, Kazuchika Okada. Okada has been a part of The new Elite ever since joining the All Elite roster full-time. However, the WCW veteran wants to replace Okada with the ex-WWE champion in question, John Morrison.

Morrison joined AEW in 2022 and wrestled under the names, Johnny Elite and Johnny TV. Although the former Intercontinental champion has been losing a lot lately, he can still go in the ring even at this stage of his career.

Speaking on Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL recently, Konnan said Johnny TV should replace Kazuchika Okada and join The Young Bucks and Jack Perry in The Elite:

"I would take [Kazuchika] Okada out of The Young Bucks group, hear me out, I would slide in [John] Morrison. I would have Morrison who is from LA, The Bucks are from LA, [Jack] Perry is from the LA and do the gimmick you know, I wanted to do that once in Lucha Underground."

Konnan also suggested a new Japanese faction for Okada, Konosuke Takeshita and Katsuyori Shibata:

"And I would take Okada who looks cool, I would [Konosuke] Takeshita who looks cool, I would take Shibata and make him a cool Japanese version, like in suits, you know what I am saying?" [8:20 - 8:54]

The Young Bucks stand strong after AEW Double or Nothing

After attacking Tony Khan and Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Jack Perry, and Kazuchika Okada were challenged by Team AEW, consisting of Bryna Danielson, FTR, and Darby Allin in an 'Anarchy in the Arena' match at Double or Nothing.

The match was chaotic as expected, with some crazy spots, with Tony Khan getting involved and Darby putting Perry on fire. In the end, The Elite secured the victory after hanging Darby upside down.

Therefore, The Bucks and their buddies will continue the abuse of power in the coming weeks. Only time will tell where the storyline is heading from here.
