"This is basically Austin vs. Rock in 2024," "THIS IS A WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENT" - Fans erupt after 48-year-old star confronts MJF outside AEW
A massively popular AEW star confronted MJF outside the company. This has stirred a lot of hype amongst the fans.
Big Boom AJ signed with AEW earlier this year. After much anticipation, he finally made his in-ring debut on the Zero Hour show at AEW Full Gear 2024 where he competed against QT Marshall. Big Boom AJ picked up the win, however, this match did little to end their feud.
QT Marshall recently competed against MJF at Boca Raton Championship Wrestling. During the match, AJ got on the apron and argued with his rival before lowering the boom. When Maxwell finally came to it, he found himself face-to-face with AJ. The two men exchanged words before AJ left the ring and allowed The Salt of the Earth to pick up the win.
A clip of this face-to-face encounter has gone viral on social media which prompted a reaction from the fans. Based on the reactions, it seems like fans are excited to see these two men lock horns. Check out some of the reactions below:
MJF just made a major announcement about next week's AEW Dynamite
Adam Cole has been trying to get his hands on MJF for a while now. He wasn't able to fulfill Maxwell's condition that would've allowed him to face the latter at Full Gear. However, Cole competed in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal and was one of the final two men remaining in the match.
As a result, Cole defeated Kyle O'Reilly on the 11th December episode of Dynamite earning a shot at the former AEW World Champion at World's End on December 28th. Maxwell, who has only appeared via satellite in recent weeks, just announced on social media that he would be appearing live for next week's episode of AEW Dynamite:
"Not via satellite in a dimly lit mansion. But live. Unfiltered. Unedited. #ThankMeLater," Max wrote on X/Twitter.
