Title vs. Friendship match: Rare challenge laid out as AEW Dynamite ends
An AEW star announced a huge challenge on tonight's Dynamite. The star who threw down the gauntlet was Isiah Kassidy, who is one-half of the Private Party. They are aiming to dethrone the AEW World Tag Team Champions for a long time now.
Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen have been All Elite since 2019 and were on a good run in the initial years. They even pinned the Young Bucks on the second-ever episode of Dynamite. The team has been integral in the recent storyline involving Jon Moxley, which forced them to improve themselves once again.
After pinning the EVPs for the tag titles, the Private Party earned the opportunity to face them at WrestleDream but fell short. Following the loss, they again asked the champions for a rematch but were denied.
On tonight's Dynamite, the Young Bucks and Jack Perry lost to Daniel Garcia and Private Party in a six-man tag action, in which Isiah pinned Matthew Jackson once again. Isiah once again begged the Young Bucks to give them one more opportunity for the titles, but the latter refused.
To make things interesting for the AEW World Champions, Isiah Kassidy raised the stakes by claiming that the Private Party would split if they didn't win the match. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson were impressed by the offer and immediately accepted the rare challenge for next week on Fright Night Dynamite.
Only time will tell what fate awaits the Private Party, as they may become champions next week or get separated.
