Tommy Dreamer says AEW original reminds him of WWE legend Bret Hart

An AEW original reminds Tommy Dreamer of WWE legend Bret Hart, which might come as a surprise to many fans. Tommy has seen a lot in wrestling, and he is speaking from experience.

The star in question is none other than Hangman Adam Page. He is one such wrestler who has stuck with AEW since its inception and is seen as a vital cog in the company. He is also a respected name in the locker room.

Tommy Dreamer was speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast when he shed light on Page and said he reminds him of Bret Hart. He said:

"When [Page] was a babyface, I'm like, 'This guy's like ... Bret Hart. Bret Hart [was] one of the greatest babyfaces of all time. He was a heel and then [had] his rise as a babyface, through hard work, through everything that he was. But Bret's heel run was next level, too, because what did he do? WWE analyst says Hangman Adam Page should not dethrone AEW Champion Swerve Strickland

Swerve Strickland and Hangman Adam Page are quite the rivals in AEW. Over the years, they have had some great matches with the entire wrestling world talking.

It is only a matter of time before Page wins the world title again, but WWE analyst Sam Roberts has now revealed that he does not like the idea of Page defeating Strickland. He was speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast when he said:

"No, I don't think Hangman should be the one to dethrone Swerve."

That may not happen for a while as Swerve Strickland will defend his title against Bryan Danielson at All In at Wembley Stadium next week.

It will be interesting to see how the outcome of that match could factor into Page’s immediate future.
