Toni Storm claims she might never return to AEW, could start a new business venture
AEW fans continue to wait patiently for Toni Storm's return. The Timeless star has been away from the All Elite ring since All In but has continued to wrestle elsewhere. Storm really displayed her acting skills in the latest character reboot of her career and is now joking about never returning to All Elite Wrestling as she has a new business in mind.
The Illustrious last wrestled for All Elite Wrestling on August 25 at the All In pay-per-view in London. Storm was dethroned of the Women's World Championship by her former protégé Mariah May after a fifteen-minute match in front of May's hometown crowd inside the sold-out Wembley Stadium. The 29-year-old immediately returned to Australia to promote the Grand Slam 2025 event, then traveled to Japan in late September to work Stardom dates.
Timeless Toni traveled to Mexico to make her CMLL debut last Friday at Super Viernes, but the 16-year industry veteran came up short against La Catalina. Storm appeared on Fox Sports Mexico's new All Elite Show on Monday and was asked about the situation surrounding her AEW return. She said there is no situation right now, and life is just what it is. The former WWE star then joked about moving to Mexico for good and opening her own taco stand instead of wrestling.
"There is no situation, life just is what it is right now. I’m thinking of moving here permanently. I’m thinking of setting up my own taco stand, and living a happy, peaceful life here in Mexico. I think it will be best," Toni Storm said.
Storm agreed after the FS2 host went on about this being a good idea. The three-time AEW Women's World Champion then joked about never returning to the company and ended the bit with her "chin up" catchphrase.
"Yes, everybody will come to Toni's Tacos! That's my business... that's my next venture. Maybe I'll never go back to AEW. [host disagrees with this idea] Oh, I don't know... I think tacos is it. Oh, and remember... Toni's Tacos: chin up, t**s out, and watch for the taco!" Toni Storm said.
All jokes aside, the Storm segment reminded AEW fans of how talented the former WWE NXT UK Women's Champion is. There is a strong buzz over the New Zealander's eventual return, with increased speculation on how AEW might bring Storm back, including a big match she's asked for.
AEW announces upcoming title match
All Elite Wrestling has confirmed that its Women's World Championship will be defended to kick off the month of November. Mariah May is set to make her fourth title defense since dethroning Toni Storm at All In.
The November 2, 2024, edition of Collusion from Philadelphia will feature The Glamour defending her title against Anna Jay, which was previously predicted by the challenger. The championship opportunity was booked after Jay defeated May in a Title Eliminator at Battle of the Belts XII this past weekend.
Collision will mark the fourth singles match between The Queen Slayer and The Fighting Princess, who won their first two bouts: on Rampage in February and on Dynamite in April. Jay then won at Battle of the Belts, putting their series at 2-1.
